Education

School board drama, teacher union criticism, lack of confidence in school administration all translate into poor education opportunities for our kids. Must be time to clear the slate and start over with the taxpayers playing a role.

Overmedication

Everyone be careful of your loved one in the nursing homes. Ask what the medications are, and beware of over-medication. Just beware that it could happen, and think twice about sending them to the nursing home.

Medicinal

If medical marijuana is legalized, would it be possible to smoke it on the hospital grounds, as marijuana would be medicinal?

Puppy

We just want to thank the Burlington emergency veterinarian service who not only helped us but didn’t charge us anything for the hardest decision made about our 4-day-old runt puppy who we rescued with his mommy.

Salt

Is it really necessary to apply a thick layer of de-icing salt to sidewalks and entryways? It stains carpets, rusts door frames and deteriorates concrete and paving stones. The excess runs into the lake; that’s not where it belongs.

Lanes

Can anyone decipher whether the right lanes near the 374 and Turnpike intersection are passing lanes? Seems like people want to drag race from the light until they pass you on right.
