Speakout: June 17, 2013

Recent stories about epilepsy and ALS in this paper make me sad when I think of how these people could be helped by medical cannabis, only to be legally deprived of it in this state.

The Section 7 track and field championship was an awful experience, with horrible weather. I would like to give a special thanks to Saranac coaches, parents and throwers from the team. One of the parents went and got hot coffee and pizza. The coach, parents and athletes moved the tents they set up for themselves over to the officials and athletes competing. As a parent from another school, seeing this kind of kindness is how it should be.
