Parenting

My teen went to a party last night, and we did not want our kid to attend this. We are good parents who watch over our kids. If people talk about parents who care that’s just sad.

Drugs

Guess you haven’t noticed the “War on Drugs” we’ve been fighting the last thirty years. Violence rates are the same, and we’re paying to incarcerate 700 percent more criminals than we were in 1980. It’s not working.

Bullying

Why isn’t an area high school addressing the problem of bullying? Bullying is not allowed when it is students but it’s OK if it is the administration?

Cuts

Why are area high schools not cutting administration’s salaries or positions but they are willing to cut in other areas? There are five secretaries for one district office in an area high school.

Receipt

Bad enough that going to a gas station is an impact on your wallet, but what burns me up is when you are finished and ask for a receipt and it tells you the cashier has it. Fill the paper.

Closure

The State Liquor Authority has too much power when they have the right to tell towns that they must have permission to close bars early.

Custoday

Parents beware, “sole legal and physical custody” does not mean you can deprive the other parent of court-ordered visitation.
