I have been a day-care provider for five years, and this is my only income. Yes I charge when kids are not here and vacations too. If I didn’t, I would get taken advantage of.


I am finding that with those who are dressed as the Statue of Liberty and horns blowing are a distraction to drivers and could cause an accident.


You have to pass a written and driving test to get a license. People should have to pass a vision, competency and mental-health eval to get a gun.


I would like to thank the gentleman who paid for my order at McDonald’s today. You are a kind man, and I will do the same. God bless you and your family.


The city should organize a week of not tipping to pressure restaurants to pay decent wages. Servers are dependent on tips like bears on garbage or the infirm on oxygen.


In the Village of Rouses Point, I would imagine there is responsibility to attract venues that could utilize the Civic center. For the most part, ice time is all that exists. Any chance of utilizing the facility year round?


Why do people look up to celebrities? Money does not change who you are. A lot of celebrities are not role models.


Please don’t let parents into games when they have been drinking. One of these times something bad is going to happen.


Doctors, teachers, ministers need to be required by law to notify authorities when they know someone is mentally ill and presents a danger to themselves or others. These people are allowed to wander the streets and refuse their medication.


I was shocked to hear the kinds of music elementary schools play at various events. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask schools to play music that does not contain inappropriate content or innuendos.


I want to give a lot of credit to the female who delivered some food. She is always very clean, with clean clothes, and doesn’t smell of smoke. Always wishing the people with a good day and smiling.


Single ladies and moms should be educated in high school how to defend themselves with a gun and in the martial arts. Violence against women is a national disgrace.


The Second Amendment is explicitly about maintaining some sort of parity between irregular civilian militias and professional military forces. A government that maintains a monopoly on violence is a dangerous environment for liberty.
