Speakout: Dec. 18, 2013

Apologizes

At 10:30 a.m. Dec. 4, I made a left turn off of Route 3 heading to the mall. I cut a car off when I made a quick turn into the right lane. We then pulled into mall parking lot. I am very sorry for the way I treated you; I was wrong.

Holidays

To wish someone “Happy Holiday” at this time of the year has little meaning. For many people, what holiday is it? But wishing someone a “Merry Christmas” says it all. Christmas reminds us of the birth of Christ.

Religions

I know in retail you cannot say “Merry Christmas” because of the vast array of religions. Just because we cannot say it, does not mean we don’t want to wish everyone a happy holiday.

Obamacare

Of course Obama and the Dems lied about Obamacare regarding keeping your plan and doctor if you liked it. If you’d rather view him as an incompetent politician instead, at least we can agree on that.

Field

To the man I watched closing the gates of a city baseball field, shame on you. There is a designated, fenced-in area at that park for dogs, use it. Baseball fields are for baseball games.

Speed

To the person who wrote the Walker Speakout: You are misinformed. Officials released a statement that they were doing double the speed limit in a 45-mph zone. I think you misread the wording of those details.

Exemptions

Members of Congress don’t need to read it before they pass it. They can always get an exemption for them and their staff if it cramps their style. Obamacare is OK for the commoners but don’t burden them with it. Yeah, Republicans are the hypocrites?

Christmas

The best thing that happens to children is belief, dreams (day or night) and wishes, so if you don’t like or dislike, keep it to yourself at this time of year rather then hurt the poor young children.
