Protests

Whatever happened to the protesters in Trinity Park? We are still at war, and gas is still over $4 a gallon. It makes me wonder if the protesting was for a cause or just a political agenda.

Wage

Put the politicians on minimum wage and watch how fast things change.

Burning

Residents living near an RV park should pay attention to what is being burned. Many campers do not burn clean wood; they burn trash and toxic items that you breathe in. If you see such or smell, it report to the Department of Conservation. Law is no burning trash.

Signs

Would the people who placed the “Save Horace Nye” signs along the roads in Essex County please now go back and pick them up. They are just more trash alongside the road.

Wage

Put the politicians on minimum wage and watch how fast things change.

Menus

A big cheers to area schools for implementing the required changes to the menus. With active encouragement and positive reinforcement from cafeteria staff, many children will lean toward the healthier choices. Yes, it will cost a bit more, but a necessary investment, long overdue. Leading by example: free; results: priceless.

Invitations

Wedding invitations should go first to family; grandparents, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles (all not some) and lastly friends. If you cannot afford to have everyone, then you leave out friends not family. The hurt from being slighted at a time like this will last a lifetime.

Treated

To the person who bought my coffee at Dunkin Donuts drive-thru Route 3 on Sept. 13 about 8:45 a.m., thank you so much for your act of kindness. You will never know how much that lifted my spirits and made me grin like the Cheshire Cat. It will be paid forward.

Tracks

The RR tracks on the Ashley Road in Beekmantown have been fixed, yeah. Drivers don’t have to come to a complete stop so as to not damage our vehicles. It cost for tires and alignment. Our vehicles and drivers thank you.
