Speakout: Nov. 26, 2013

I was very intimated when entering a recent health-care facility where I saw a few employees in the lobby with masks on. Is this really necessary? Very intimating to any visitor. New York state got this wrong just because someone refuses to get the flu shot.

One last word on bird feeding in the North Country. If you’re feeding near the Saranac River in the summer months or Whiteface Mountain in the winter, you could be spotting the Scott’s Keyzor. It’s plumage colors are grey, brown, blonde and slight orange.
