Ads

To the person wondering why so many presidential ads are running on “local” TV. New Hampshire is a swing state, and the “local” stations are now regularly covering New Hampshire news ... now you know why. There’s money in them there hills.

Airlines

MIT’s Center for Air Transportation researchers predict that few regional airlines will survive the turmoil in the airline industry regarding safety and pilot ability. The coming FAA rule requiring regional carriers to have more flight experience, despite low pay, will result in regional airlines becoming rare within five years.

Name

I know that there is only one Family Promise, and that’s at 36 Brinkerhoff St., Plattsburgh. There isn’t two of them, so no one should be using that on a sign.

Police

No, police can’t be everywhere. If you look in the medians along the local roads and highways you’ll find at least two or four of them shooting the breeze with each other on taxpayers’ money.

Economy

Another school year beginning and with our economy in turmoil, a teacher’s job is more critical than ever. Somehow they need to be committed to drag every single reluctant student, kicking and screaming, towards a high school diploma which in turn can change the course of those students’ lives.

Book

I would like to thank the lady at Wal-mart who bought my son a book. You really made his day. We wish that there were more people out there like yourself. We hope that this message makes your day as well as my son’s. Prayers from my family to yours.

Sandals

Please, people, don’t let your children wear sandals, go barefoot, etc. when using a power lawn mower. The toes and feet you have could be theirs.

Campers

There is an easy answer to the “mall campers.” Every time you go through there at night, drive around the lot blowing your horn. Sooner or later these leaches will realize that in order to get some sleep, they need to rent a quiet space.

Speed

Quick way to cut down on accidents: Use your mirror. If you are driving 45 in a 55 zone and have a line of cars behind you, pull over and let them by. They get fed up with you and pass too fast, causing accidents.
