SPEAKOUT RULES Speakout entries that are more than 100 words long will be rejected. Also, don't type all in capital letters and don't insult a specific person or use hateful language because those will be rejected also.
Please take a minute to proofread and spellcheck your entry before you send it. Look for spelling errors, grammar mistakes and words that should be capitalized but aren't. It takes time to correct the many errors that arrive in Speakout entries, so it's a big help if you check them over first. Minutes Having read the gripes about coaches but no solutions I wish to offer my thoughts. Why not have the coaches at the varsity level just divide the number of possible minutes that games are played equally among all players? Then everyone would be happy. I also would suggest that the players know ahead of time which quarter(s) they would be playing so their parents would only have to come to the quarter(s) that they were going to be in the game. If a game was tied at the end of the game, the game ends in a tie. Everyone wins.
Leaves Well, I am surprised no one else commented on all of the leaves, bagged or not bagged, in this city. I go for rides and I see nothing but piles after piles of leaves and people who rakes leaves and putting them in the streets. This looks terrible, no matter what street in this city one rides on. When will this be taken care of?
Spitting If a city councilor did indeed spit in the face of a constituent, then he should certainly resign his position. For a public official to behave in that manner is unacceptable and degrading. I also wonder how his employer will react to his behavior. I think the 15 days in jail would be a lesson learned. Perhaps he could undergo anger management in that time.
