— Hidden

agendas

TO THE EDITOR: Election time is near, and now is the time to consider the hidden (and not so hidden) agendas of an unusual number of crazies that are vying for a place in the 2016 election.

Every day since President Obama took office, all that you hear from these religious zealots is no gay marriages, no abortions, dead on immigration and proffering their religious beliefs that to not following the teachings of their church will lead to the path to hell.

The serious part of these rantings is that all these crazies are now in our government, causing stagnation of voting on and passing laws that would benefit the entire country, but passing many that deny rights to the American people.

All that you have to do is listen to Ted Cruz and his fanatical father, Rafael, a minister who is going to be involved in his son’s venture. Then, you have Rand Paul, Marco Rubio and on and on. It does not stop, and if any of these religious devotees are elected to any office, you can see your rights to freedom of oppression fade into obscurity.

Please allow the American people to continue enjoying their freedom from an overpowering new generation of the few who want it the way of their religious beliefs. Remember, there is no place for integrating religious beliefs in our government that are detrimental to the freedom of its people.

Listen carefully, discuss these infringements with family and friends intelligently, and vote your choice. You will be a much happier person for doing so.

We have all allowed the imbedding of those who desire to change our Constitution over the past generation. Now is the time to remove them from office, and there is no better time than starting at the next election.

Refugee

camps

TO THE EDITOR: We should feed, shelter and defend mobile Syrian refugee camps designed for DMZ limited rules of engagement to aggressive air defense by drones and AC 130 Hercules gunships using United Nations troops or observers on the ground, decided by the UN.

AC130 gunships have special cameras that can detect ground troops with any weapons and/or armor if either side makes an incursion into refugee DMZs, making for hot targets.

The 24/7 patrols between gunships and armed surveillance drones would limit America’s involvement and risks. Smart DMZ refugee defense would make Syrian air and ground incursions illegal, with all international containment of Syria.

This could be the U.N. model for all basic refugee defenses. It is a morally responsible fortress of mercy.
