Unrestrained power

TO THE EDITOR: The BLM vs. Bundy affair in Nevada is bringing to light the threat to the American Constitution and American liberty posed by the cancer of unrestrained government power.

The rights of the people of America are being bulldozed by powers the government is not granted by our constitution.

Every bureaucracy you can conceive of has its own swat teams to enforce regulations that that same department creates out of the whole cloth.

Are regulations that are not consistent with the laws they draw power from and laws that are not in accordance with the constitution legitimate? Not in a country where justice prevails.

The federal government “owns” more land in America that the area of France and Germany combined, yet Article 1, section 8 of the constitution limits the possession of property in states by the federal government to “needful buildings,” owned with the approval of the state legislatures.

The BLM is plotting to take over more land in the west and anyone who has read the Communist Manifesto knows that abolishing private property is the prime objective in establishing communism as the government of a nation.
