TO THE EDITOR: The first ever in the area, Ladies Only Nine-Hole Golf Tournament, sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary Unit 1619 of the American Legion on May 31 at Harmony Golf Club, was a great success.

Also, all the men who took time out of their busy schedules to help the ladies out: Mike Rock, Larrie Seymour, Steve Tahy, Billy Siskavich, Steve Lefevre,Floyd Rock, Vern Bruno, Wayne Marshall, Vern Malark, Richard Pecore, Terry Hayes, Ricky “Peggy” Duquette, Dan Easton, Rodney Provost, Tom Douglas, Billy Joe Leopard, Doug Stevens, Neil Stevens, Dana Dupell and the ladies who did not golf because they had to stay at the post and keep the men on schedule: Mary Dupell, Michelle Bruno, Linda Hayes, Tammy King and all the auxiliary who worked together vehemently to make this tournament hilariously entertaining and fun.

Everything we raise goes back into the community, helping the individuals and organizations who believe in paying it forward. I apologize if I forgot anyone.
