TO THE EDITOR: The tremendous community support in this area is something to be proud of. People who don’t even know one another are willing to give to others without even a second thought.

The outpouring of support from so many local businesses and people to make our first Strides for James Memorial Scholarship 5K/10K Run/Walk a complete success has been remarkable.

What a difference you’re making, not only for our family to honor James’s memory, but to those who will receive a scholarship because of your kindness.

Generous sponsors include countless individuals who donated, walked or ran in the race, Jefford’s Steel and Engineering Company, JP Signs, Riverside Insurance Agency, Weathercock Restaurant & Bar, Ultra Buys LLC, Burnham Benefit Advisors, CDC Real Estate, TD Bank Chazy, Happy Pike Ice Cream and Snack Bar, Chazy Rod & Gun Club, Adirondack Cupcake, Primelink, Media Central, North Country Floral & Gifts, Leisure Tan, S&K Campus Corner Restaurant, Riley Ford, Price Chopper, Cumberland 12 Cinemas, Sawatdee Authentic Thai and Vegetarian Restaurant, Road ID, Mickey’s Restaurant, The Northeast Group, Bark’s Shell Station, Yando’s Big M, Loreman’s, The Champlain Wine Company, Adirondack Periodontics, Herrick-Saylor Engineers, P.C., Richard Foreman DMD, Ninety-Nine, Hairstyles Unlimited and Tanning, Arnie’s, Vesco Ridge Vineyards, Plattsburgh Church of the Nazarene, High Peaks Dental, Rainbow Wedding & Banquet Hall, Kristin Moore, LMT, Green Thumb Landscaping, The North Country Golf Club, Baxter’s Bagels, Aubuchon Hardware, Dance Rhythms Mobile DJ Service, North Country Crossfit, Sam’s Club Up North BBQ & Catering, Chazy Orchards, Giroux’s Poultry, Walmart, Niles Asset Management, CCRS Class of 2003, Dunkin’ Donuts, Monica Lattrell Photography, Ali’s Beads & Beyond, Stewart’s Shops, Point Au Roche State Park and Clinton Community College.
