Sled-dog picture

TO THE EDITOR: On Wednesday, Jan. 22, the Press-Republican published an article on the search for the missing B47 bomber from Plattsburgh Air Force Base during March 1962.

In that article, a picture of two sled-dog teams was published. I am looking for information on the owners of these dog teams.

If you have any information, please call Norbert at 425-3509 or email me at

Grateful for support

TO THE EDITOR: I lost my husband, Thomas LaSalle, to cancer on Jan. 24 of this year.

I would like to express my gratitude to the people who provided care and support during this difficult time.

First of all, I would like to thank Dr. Griffin and all of the nurses at the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center. Your compassion, guidance and expertise is much appreciated. Thank you for the time you spent helping us to understand and treat Tommy’s illness.

I would also like to thank the staff and volunteers from Hospice for the amazing help and support they provided. Thank you, Teri, for making Tommy laugh and smile, even during the hardest times.

Thank you to the director and staff from Walker’s Funeral Home. The care and assistance you provided us during our time of grief was excellent. Your professionalism is second to none.

Finally, thank you to all of the family and friends who were here to help during and after Tommys illness. Emily, T.J, Eric and Becca, thank you for staying by my side. And thank you to my very special granddaughter, Abigail Marant. You have been a huge help and are an amazing young lady.
