Role models

TO THE EDITOR: The Clinton County Youth Bureau has had the opportunity to work with the Plattsburgh State Women’s Basketball Team on two occasions this year.

They held a free Basketball Skills Clinic and assisted with a Free Throw Contest, as well as participating in our Annual Meet the Cards event this past weekend.

At both events, I was truly amazed by the maturity and wonderful attitudes of these exceptional young women.

They were kind and engaging while running through drills and spent almost an hour signing autographs and taking pictures with more than 85 young basketball players who were dying to meet them.

It is wonderful to see such a positive group of young women, who we can proudly call role models for young athletes in Clinton County.

Coach Cheryl Cole and Student Assistant Coach Dana Nucaro, you have done an amazing job with these ladies, not only are they exceptionally talented as basketball players, they are a fantastic group of women our youth can look up to.

Thank you Brittany, Shanielle, Misha, Brittany, Audrey, Brooke, Devona, Kathleen, Tequilla, Ayomide, Jessica, Stephanie, Jax and Yazmin for all you have done.

Good luck with the rest of your season, go cards!

Wallet found

TO THE EDITOR: To the person who found my wallet in the Panera parking lot and returned it to the restaurant, thank you for your honesty and integrity.

You certainly made my day. God bless you.

Appreciates response

TO THE EDITOR: I would like to thank all the people and friends who send cards and made telephone calls to me when I was at the Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Plattsburgh.

I would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I’m hoping business will resume sometime in March.
