TO THE EDITOR: Let me begin by stating I couldn't imagine anyone in the North Country not sharing my admiration for Johnson's Auto Glass, however, this story must be told.

My daughter, Kasey, is a student at Northeastern Law School, Boston, Mass. On Friday, Sept. 5, Kasey called me at 6:45 a.m. quite upset that someone had broken out the driver side window of her car and stole her GPS and other items. I immediately called my friend, Richard Johnson, and asked him if he could get Kasey's window repaired if she could get the car home. Dick replied in his usual assuring tone, "Of course. Tell Kasey whatever it takes we'll get it repaired." Within minutes, I advised Dick that Kasey couldn't take the time off from studying to get the car home. I could sense Dick was already thinking of a solution, and he replied, "Let me make some calls and I'll call you back."

By 8:30 a.m. Dick called me with the name of a company he said he recommended, a contact person's name, phone number and even an invoice number. I called Kasey within five minutes to relay this information, but the Glass Company had already called Kasey and set up a 1 p.m. appointment. By 2 p.m. "that same day," Kasey's window was repaired and a student, daughter and a father remain eternally grateful to Richard Johnson at Johnson's Auto Glass. Your professionalism, compassion and friendship will never be taken for granted. I know Kasey and I are among many with similar encounters with Johnson's Auto Glass and all having similar outcomes.

I don't know of anyone else who would have gone to such lengths to provide this much needed help. Johnson's Auto Glass stands alone and from top to bottom displays character that actually is their defense for doing a great job every time for everybody.

We are a rich community to be able to call Johnson's Auto Glass our repair shop, our neighbor, and always our friends. Thank you, Dick.
