&letterheadLet's invade them all
TO THE EDITOR: The Middle East has gotten all the attention far too long. I think it's time we put our considerable resources and expertise in invading sovereign nations for no verifiable reason to work in other parts of the world.
We need to invade Zimbabwe immediately in order to rid that country of its cruel dictator. This action may completely destroy their country's infrastructure, but it will allow free elections to take place so they can enjoy democratic freedoms like we enjoy. The various factions there will continue to kill each other when they cannot decide who should be in charge, but who knows, it may stabilize the whole African region, eventually.
There is also a possibility this invasion will open up an al-Qaida cell that has not existed in that country before. No problem, an extended "surge" will take care of them like it has in Iraq.
Wait a minute, I just realized we don't need to jeopardize any more of our military personnel or increase our military budget.
We don't buy oil from Africa.

TO THE EDITOR: Recently, I have heard criticism of the mayor's work. Critics claim he should not bring up what caused many problems for the city, fiscal irresponsibility and lack of accountability by the prior elected officials of the city.
I believe wherever it occurred, to detail it explicitly. I cannot imagine the right person, at the right time more so than Mayor Kasprzak. The city, state and country were spending our taxes like there was no tomorrow, many grants were said to have clauses, either take the money now, or it will be gone.
That's stupid government. I appreciate the service the mayor is performing and I know with him in office that as soon as there is money for projects, as soon as the fiscal house is in order, the mayor will do his best to distribute the surplus funds to the most neediest of projects, whether it be paving some roads, or fixing specific public works department.
I know whenever I talk to Mayor Kasprzak I am getting an honest answer from a man who loves this city.
In the future, when choosing your candidates, make sure they have credentials for job. What were Dan Stewart's credentials? His credentials for the Prison Board? I would like to know.
