Speakout: April 2, 2014

Smoking

Truly do not understand how smoking tar, rat poison and thousands of other cancer-causing chemicals is attractive or “hip” in anyway, shape or form. Ten bucks a day equals $3,650 a year.

Storms

Don’t be surprised if you see a few more snowstorms before May arrives. Spring time is prone for storms, so don’t complain, you chose to live in the Adirondacks.

Butts

It’s said that over a trillion cigarette butts are littered throughout the country. I would only like to say to the irresponsible smokers, thank you. My children’s children will thank you dearly.

Parking

C.H.E.S parents, if you have to leave your car when dropping your child off, please park in the parking lot. Next to the bases is for quick dropoff only. When picking up your child from school, park in the parking lot only. It is against school regulations to park next to the side entrance.

Swearing

Why do people find it OK when in public coffee shops to use profanity loudly? Don’t you realize this makes you look uneducated and obnoxious?

Cats

I recently found out that in our small town there is a family who hates cats so much that they have set traps in their garage. This left me in shock. Please keep your pets inside. Why so much hatred? So sick.

Does

Hunters have shot most of the does in Altona. I have not seen a single deer in these woods in months.
