---- — Gibson Brothers
TO THE EDITOR: On behalf of the residents of Churubusco, Town of Clinton, I would like to congratulate Eric and Leigh Gibson and the Gibson Brothers band for being awarded Entertainer of the Year at the 23rd-annual International Bluegrass Music Awards in Nashville on Sept. 28.
The many awards they have won throughout the past years have been well deserved.
Eric and Leigh were raised on the Gibson family farm on Clinton Mills Road in Churubusco, Town of Clinton. They played baseball on the Churubusco ball diamond and entertained at the children’s Christmas parties at the Town Hall and Fire Station and at the Churubusco Fire Department Field Day in 1993.
Their musical talent was enriched through the lessons they received from their mentor, Richard Decosse, at Dick’s Country Store in Churubusco.
They have exceptional talent as well as caring personalities and bring joy to all the people who they entertain.
