Parenting

If you have children, be a parent. You can never get back your time with or without them. Make it count. It’ll be worth it.

Facebook

Why do secretaries and the like get to be paid to be on Facebook all day long in between client calls?  What were these folks doing before Facebook? I think employers should block that website and only allow news- and business-related ones at work.

Burning

I own a home in the City of Plattsburgh, and my neighbors insist on burning their trash and pretending it’s a campfire. Not too many people will burn a campfire at 8 in the morning. Please stop so we won’t have to call the authorities.

Prices

I recently visited Lake Placid and was surprised to see their gas prices were 10 to 20 cents cheaper than Plattsburgh and Champlain. Champlain gas prices were 20 cents higher.

Respect

Today the Fire Department on Hammond Lane was called out, and some jerk did not respect their lights and siren. Could the police departments have special divisions to follow right-of-way traffic to handle this problem?

Meal

Thank you, Ground Round and its proficient and friendly staff, for offering all veterans a free meal of their choice on Veterans Day. You make me proud to be a loyal patron at your establishment and proud to be an American. Special thanks to “A,” our ace of a waitress.
