Ride benefit

TO THE EDITOR: A benefit for the 2013 Tour de Force bicycle ride was recently held at Bobby’s Lounge by Adirondack Garda.

The ride is held to honor victims of 9/11 and raise funds for families of police officers killed in the line of duty. Over $6,500 was raised.

This year’s ride starts Sept. 8 from the Freedom Tower in NYC and ends at the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Sept. 11. We are also honoring the Boston bombing victims and MIT Officer Sean Collier, slain by the bombers.
