Be who you are, not what someone wants you to be. Stand up for yourself; ignore the wave of negative vibes. Some people are just unhappy, jealous and can’t get through the day until they’ve belittled somebody. It’s not their fault, really. It’s ingrained in a lot of people.


I am tired of hearing how sickening it is that two men or two women show affection in public. Who cares? Maybe the person who had time to put pen to paper, write a nasty letter to the P-R and rant about God and her religion could be more productive.


With so much traffic in front of bingo on Devil’s Den, there should be a fence along the roadway and enter and exit openings. Traffic after bingo is awful with everyone rushing. People slowing down and not turning in until they find a parking spot is also a hazard. An easy fix.


Important message from the DEC website for everybody: Open burning of household trash releases dangerous compounds including arsenic, carbon monoxide, benzene, styrene, formaldehyde, lead, hydrogen cyanide and dioxin, among others. Open burning is also the single greatest cause of wildfires in New York.


Our Rouses Point horseshoe team is looking for someone to help with lighting at the Sportsman’s Club. Because of a storm a while back, the light pole was blown over. Shortly after 8 p.m., darkness shuts us down.The teams that play need some assistance reinstalling the light pole.


First your car is on the white line, then it goes to the yellow line and back again. 40 mph in a 55-mph area. Why? Your head is turned toward your passenger. Either pull over and read lips or drive. Don’t drive and read lips.
