The best representation you can get is union backing. Union representatives are experts at dealing with negotiations, and companies often fear organization, but once they are unionized seem to work well with the union for the benefit of the employees. If you are fed up and want better, you should look into organization.

I like to think of it like this: The company is like the federal government, and the union is like a congress. Think of it like checks and balances. The company without a union has unlimited power.The company with a union has to deal with a congress. It’s all about equalizing the playing field.

Turkey Trot

TO THE EDITOR: Peru Lions Club held its 35th-annual John P. Adams Memorial Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day under sunny blue skies, with a record total of 679 runners and walkers who enjoyed exercising in the three events.

We would like to thank all the runners, walkers and their families and the following businesses for their sponsorship, Peru Health Mart Pharmacy (our major sponsor), Graymont Materials (NY) Inc., Stewart Shoppes Peru. J. Hogan Refrigeration, Northern Sanitation, T/D Bank Peru.
