Sweetie

Gentlemen, please stop calling me “sweetie,” “honey,” “dear” and “darling” when you ask for my assistance at my workplace. I have a nametag, and “Miss” or “Ms.” will work equally well while being notably less offensive.

Seniors

OK, seniors, it has been over a month since graduation. Time to hand-write thank-you notes to those people who gave you a gift. Also, those of you who received cash or otherwise before graduation day or at the ceremony, you too should thank the giver. 

Local

I went to the local gas/convenience store the other day to get coffee filters before work and I spent three minutes trying to get a cashier to come to a register and another two minutes refusing the cashier’s multiple attempts to sell me a milkshake. Buy local has its limits.

Taxes

Those who pay their taxes love America. Those who volunteer their tax shares really love America. The excuse of the welfare state is a cheap cop-out for opportunists.w
