Editorial: Sky's the limit at local airport

And don’t forget the sometimes-overlooked advantage of the non-stop flights to all Allegiant destinations. Passengers get on and get off once, without layovers and lost luggage to worry about.

We are not a publicity agent for Allegiant, but we most certainly are rooting hard for Plattsburgh International to thrive. Its success translates into more activity, prosperity and choices for all of us living in the North Country.

Proximity to Montreal is indeed among our most precious assets in this region. Allegiant’s expansion is testimony to that.

But the Stotland letter reminds us that Montreal isn’t the only quarry for our promoters. We expect to see the parking lot at Plattsburgh International filling again with vehicles from all over northern New York, Vermont and Canada.
