TO THE EDITOR: I would like to express my appreciation to the members of the American Legion Post 1619 on Rand Hill Road in Morrisonville.
Each Thanksgiving and Christmas for the past several years, David Curry has stopped by my office to get a list of families who could use a complimentary Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner — or both. These names are kept confidential; however, the veterans allow my husband and me to pick up and deliver these goodies to them.
A sincere thank you to their partners at Hannaford’s supermarket. They not only allow the groceries to be purchased at cost, but the employees sort and package the items for greater convenience.
Thank you so very much from the families in Peru who received your gracious donations of meal boxes.

TO THE EDITOR: I am writing to let you know about some shoppers who throw clothes on floors.
You must do this at home, too. The people who work shouldn’t have to pick up after you.
There are other ones who throw their garbage along the highway and street. When you do this, I know what your homes and yards look like.
God bless all of you, and God bless America. Take this from someone who cares.
TO THE EDITOR: The Willsboro Community Housing Assistance Task Force - Food Shelf Emergency Fund would like to sincerely thank all of the individuals, organizations and businesses that helped to supply food for the Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets this 2013 holiday season.
Without each and every one of your efforts, we would not have been able to provide the assistance needed.
Happiest holiday wishes to all. May you have a healthy and happy 2014.
