Speakout: Feb. 14, 2014

“Duck Dynasty” pajamas; give it up people. Every place you go someone is either trying to look like “Duck Dynasty” or they forgot how to get dressed in the morning.

I travel I-87 at night and at least four nights a week I see a state trooper on the side of the road with no caution lights on. If this was a regular person, they would get a ticket for it. You’re going to cause a accident.

How is the “Lake City” going to operate a marina when they can’t even decide on two proposals that are like night and day? New council, same politics — no waterfront development for the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Plattsburgh.

Spending hours of your day gossiping about other people and belittling them for your own satisfaction is a poor excuse of a life. How about do something more productive with what time you have left instead of wasting it on meaningless diatribe?

Why is the city out with equipment trimming ice from curbs on Bailey Avenue, which is wide, when North Catherine is a horse trail with no shoulder? Parking should be banned on North Catherine. Cars park in the left lane, which reduces the street to one lane coming into Plattsburgh.

A group of people have started a Facebook page to complain about things that go on in school — a school where you will never find a more caring group of people who have your children’s best interests at heart. You have way too much time on your hands.

It’s nice to see the city wants to do something with the Plattsburgh boat basin. I feel it should be voted on by the people. They are the ones who pay the taxes. I do urge the City Council to make it for everyday use and not seasonal for boating.
