PLATTSBURGH -- Several villages in Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties are holding elections today.
Some villages, however, don't hold elections until next year or have theirs in conjunction with the November general election.
Here's who's running, with voting scheduled from noon to 9 p.m.:
BRUSHTON
Mayor: Donald Barney (Democrat).
Trustee (one seat): John Edwards (Republican).
BURKE
Mayor: Craig Dumas (Democrat).
Trustee (one seat): William Carr (Democrat).
Champlain
Trustee (two seats): Amy Gehrig (STK Party) and Thomas Trombley (Citizens Union).
CHATEAUGAY
Trustee (two seats): Robert Bessette (Democrat) and Patricia Dragon (Democrat).
KEESEVILLE
Mayor: Meegan Rock (Citizens Party) and Mark Whitney (People's Party).
Trustees (two seats): John Casey (Voice of the Future) and Mary E. King (Equal Spirit).
PORT HENRY
Trustee (two seats): Joseph Bodette (Taxpayers Party), Linda DuRoss (Citizens Party), Ruth McDonough (Citizens Party) and Jack Sheldon (Taxpayers Party).
Rouses Point
Mayor: Thomas D. Batha (Common Sense) and George A. Rivers (Citizens Party).
Trustee (two seats): Francis "Bumper" Baker (Common Sense Party), Jean L. Birtz (Citizens Party), Robert Clark (Ace Party) and John L. Cooper (Citizens Party).
SARANAC LAKE
Trustee (two seats): Jason Brill (Democrat), Jeffrey Branch (Republican), John McEneany (Republican) and John Sweeney (Democrat). Sweeney formally withdrew nomination, but it was too late for his name to come off the ballot.
Village justice: Charles Bell (Democrat).
