Family Fare: Nov. 9, 2013

Fundraiser Nov. 12 for Max MooreTree House Project

PLATTSBURGH — Cheechako Taco’s 24 Oak St. location will be hosting a “Dine to Donate” fundraiser for the Max Moore Memorial Tree House Project on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Fifteen percent of all proceeds for purchases more than $11 will be donated toward the construction of the universally accessible tree house, which will be located on the Saranac River Trail in Plattsburgh. A sneak peek of the tree-house design will be on display, and Ashley Cousens, coordinator of the Tree House Project, will be available to answer questions and discuss the project from 4 to 6 p.m.

A coupon must be presented at the time of purchase. Printable coupons are available at saranacrivertrail.org.

Story timecoming up at Keeseville Library

KEESEVILLE — The Keeseville Free Library’s story time is at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12.

November’s theme is “Big Trucks on Parade.”

Story time slated up in Saranac Lake

SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Free Library, 109 Main St., is hosting an evening children’s story-time program at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, in the Children’s Room.

Scholastic Book Fair starts Monday

PLATTSBURGH — The North Country Teacher Resource Center in Sibley Hall on Rugar Street is holding a Scholastic Book Fair from Monday, Nov. 11, to Thursday, Nov. 21.

Hours are: 11:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mondays, 9:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays, 1:15 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays, 9:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursdays and 9:45 to 1:45 p.m. Fridays. Hours may change; check http://is.gd/GVvoNg for updates.
