Moriah School Board sets special meeting

MORIAH — The Moriah Central School Board will hole a special meeting at 7:30 tonight in the Central Office Board Room.

It will begin with an executive session on personnel.

Board meerings are open to the public.


Adirondack Coast Visitors Bureau in Montreal

PLATTSBURGH — The Adirondack Coast Visitors Bureau plans to have a booth at the International Tourism and Travel Show at Place Bonaventure in Montreal this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

This will be the seventh consecutive year the Visitors Bureau will have a presence at the show, which attracts more than 25,000 travelers. The Visitors Bureau is a division of the North Country Chamber of Commerce.

“People attending the show are most interested in outdoor recreation and agricultural experiences, so it’s a great opportunity to remind them of all the outdoor activities available on the Adirondack Coast and introduce them to the newly appointed Wine Trail,” chamber Vice President of Marketing Kristy Kennedy said in a news release.

PenAir and area businesses will join the Adirondack Coast Visitors Bureau at the show.


Plattsburgh Common Council to meet tonight

PLATTSBURGH — The City of Plattsburgh Common Council will take action on several items at tonight’s meeting.

Among them are a request from the Infrastructure Committee that the mayor, on behalf of the Information Technology Department, advertise for proposals for managed printing services for the city. Councilors will also act on the resignation of Scott Tetrault from the Planning Board.

The meeting begins with a work session at 5 p.m., followed by the regular session at 5:30 p.m.

Both are open to the public.
