See SUNY Plattsburgh yearbooks online

PLATTSBURGH — A total of 87 SUNY Plattsburgh “Cardinal” yearbooks, including 16,046 images, can now be viewed at no charge on the New York Heritage site www.nyheritage.org.

The yearbooks span between 1914 and 2002. None was published in 2001, and the 2002 issue only includes photos of the seniors.

“Having the SUNY Plattsburgh Cardinal Yearbooks available online is an invaluable resource for our campus and our alumni,” noted Debra Kimok, associate librarian with the college’s Feinberg Library, in a press release.

See the changes to nursing uniforms worn by students over the years in the Cardinal, she said, as well as the changes to styles and what was “in” for any given decade.

Numerous well-known bands performed on campus, among them Fleetwood Mac, Jethro Tull, the Beach Boys and Alice Cooper.

The yearbook project was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the college and the Northern New York Library Network based in Potsdam.
