Volunteers still needed for Battleof Plattsburgh
PLATTSBURGH — About 500 volunteers are needed every year to facilitate the Battle of Plattsburgh Commemoration.
Volunteers are needed for the Beekmantown Town Hall re-enactment, parade, selling buttons, kids games, Friday night concert and fireworks, Old Time Country Fair setup and breakdown on Sunday, Kent DeLord House admission buttons, marketing and information booths and Cannonball Fun Run.
For students who are looking for community-service hours for school or their organization, this is a fun way to earn them, said Diane Kwarta of the Battle of Plattsburgh Commemorative Committee.
To volunteer, contact Diane at 561-4039 or email@example.com (put BOP Volunteer in subject line).
All volunteers will receive a free commemorative button, which is used for admission to concerts and other activities.
