Spaghetti dinner to benefit Chazy Senior Housing

CHAZY — A spaghetti dinner will be held 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 3, at the Weathercock in Chazy to benefit Chazy Senior Housing.

Tickets are $8 for people age 10 and up, $5 for ages 4 to 9 and free to kids age 3 and under.

Senior Computer Club classes set

PLATTSBURGH — Two-day computer classes will be held at the Senior Center, 5139 North Catherine St., Plattsburgh.

From 9 to 11 a.m. March 11 and 13, the subject will be “Improving Your Skills Using the Word Processor.” Computers will be available to use.

From 9 to 11 a.m. on March 18 and 20, the subject will be “Making and Using Spreadsheets.”

Sign up for the classes, which are open to all, by calling the Senior Center at 563-6180 or Jean Schiffler at 643-8575.

Bridge lessons offered in Plattsburgh

PLATTSBURGH — Have fun learning the basics of what is known as “party,” “rubber,” “couples” or “contract” bridge, a social type of bridge that can be played with four people and a standard deck of cards.

The series of eight weekly lessons will begin 9 to 10:45 a.m. Monday, April 1, at the Plattsburgh Elks Lodge on Cumberland Avenue. Classes will be held alternately at the Senior Citizens Center at the corner of North Catherine and Court streets.

A $25 fee includes an easy-to-follow book ($13 value) that can be reviewed at the Senior Center.

Call the Senior Center at 563-6180 by Friday, March 15, to reserve a spot. You will not be officially enrolled until the fee is paid at the Senior Center. Class size is limited.

The Monday Bridge Club, Elks Lodge and the Senior Center are supporting this effort.
