Of Interest: Feb. 16, 2013

No city trash pickup Monday

PLATTSBURGH — There will be no garbage collection on Monday, Presidents’ Day, by the City of Plattsburgh Public Works Department.

Instead, Monday’s and Tuesday’s pickup will be done on Tuesday, and the regular schedule will resume for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Fire District

sets meetings

LYON MOUNTAIN — The Lyon Mountain Fire District Board of Commissioners holds regular meetings at 6:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month, except for the session set for Wednesday, April 10, and the break from meeting in July.

Here are the dates for 2013: March 6, May 1, June 6, Aug. 7, Sept. 4, Oct. 2, Nov. 6 and Dec. 4.

The public is welcome.

Jay clerk hours

JAY — The Jay Town Clerk’s Office will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21 in place of the regularly scheduled evening hours. 

This change is for that date only.

Keeseville sets new time for Zoning

Board session

KEESEVILLE — The Keeseville Zoning Board of Appeals has rescheduled its Feb. 20 meeting, which will now take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, in the Village Board Room at 58 Liberty Street.

The public is welcome.
