Price Chopper

recalls Bakery Fresh products with raisins

SCHENECTADY — Price Chopper Supermarkets has issued a voluntary recall on its Price Chopper Bakery Fresh bagels and muffins containing raisins.

There is a naturally occurring foreign matter in the raisins that does not meet Price Chopper quality standards, a press release said.

The affected products were produced and purchased between Dec. 14, 2012, and Feb. 8 of this year.

Customers are asked to return the affected product at their local Price Chopper for a full refund.

For more information, including a full list of the recalled products, visit or call (800) 666-7667, Ext. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday or 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Price Chopper initiated its Smart Reply notification program, which uses purchase data and consumer phone numbers on file in connection with the company’s AdvantEdge card to alert households that may have purchased the product.
