ROUSES POINT — New tourism-based businesses on Lake Street here will be given priority as funds are doled out from a Microenterprise Program grant won by the Village of Rouses Point.

Existing businesses can qualify as well, according to a press release from Community Development Consultant Melissa McManus.

An informational meeting on the grant is set for 7 p.m. Thursday in the meeting room at the Rouses Point Civic Center, 39 Lake St.

“There are important program-eligibility requirements, such as low- or moderate-income job creation and business-owner training,”’ McManus said, “so all interested parties are encouraged to attend for a full description of the program.”
