Breakfast raises funds for areaBoy Scout troops

PLATTSBURGH — The Friends of Scouting Breakfast is a major fundraiser for the Twin Rivers Council of Boy Scouts of America, which covers the scouts from the North Country.

Tickets are still available for the breakfast, which will be held 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Monday, May 20, at the American Legion Post 20, 162 Quarry Road, Plattsburgh.

Adirondack District Boy Scouts of America hosts breakfast and fundraiser, which is co-chaired by Betsy Vicencio and Bernie Bassett.

The keynote speaker will be Development Corporation President and CEO Paul Grasso. The scout speaker is Eagle Scout Rafael G. Rivera IV from Troop 8049, Peru.

City School Board calls special meeting

PLATTSBURGH — Plattsburgh City School Board will hold a special meeting at 7:15 a.m. Monday, May 20, at the Duken Building.

The purpose is for the board to appoint additional poll inspectors.
