MOOERS — The Mooers Good Fellowship Club will meet for a potluck luncheon at noon today at St. Joseph Church Hall, 91 Maple St.

Attendees are asked to bring something for the local food pantry. New members are always welcome.

Caregiver support groups to meet

PLATTSBURGH — A discussion group for all unpaid caregivers is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at the United Way Building, 45 Tom Miller Road.

Another discussion group with a presentation called “Normal Memory Loss vs. Dementia-Related Memory Loss and Behaviors in Working with Dementia Patients” will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, in the Emmaus Room at St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh. The discussion will be presented by Raeanne McLaughlin, Pine Harbour’s executive director.

In addition, a telephone support group is offered from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15. Caregivers may call 565-4543 or 565-4625 for more information.

The groups, offered by the Caregiver Resource Center/Respite Program, are a component of Behavioral Health Services North. They are open to anyone providing unpaid care to an aging family member or friend. New caregivers, friends and family are welcome. No appointment necessary.

Computer classes for beginners starts May 20

PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Senior Citizens Computer Club is offering a Beginner Computer Class from 9 to 11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays starting May 20.

The class consists of 16 two-hour sessions and will be held at the Senior Center, 5139 N. Catherine St.

A donation to the Senior Center of $1 per class is suggested.
