Busy B’s planning casino trip

BEEKMANTOWN — The Beekmantown Senior Citizens Busy B’s are planning a trip to the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino on Thursday, Oct. 25.

The group will leave the Beekmantown Town Hall on the Spellman Road at 9:30 a.m. The trip includes the Harvest Buffet, a $15 gambling voucher and transportation on the Premier Coach.

Attendees will leave the casino at 4 p.m. to come home.

Hunters Paradise set for Monday

PLATTSBURGH — Meadowbrook Healthcare is hosting a Hunters Paradise event at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, in the main dining room.

White Wolf Taxidermy and Wildlife Studio and Gander Mountain will assist with the event. There will be several mounted animals and full skin rugs as well as pieces of hunting equipment around the room. Hunting videos will be shown on the “Big Screen” while the hunters enjoy homemade beef stew. Valley Vending will also provide a hunting game.

In addition, attendees are encouraged to bring their best hunting photos and share stories. The photos will connect with a scrapbooking project the Activities Department is working on with residents.

Residents’ family members are also invited to join.
