Jersey Bridge repair complete

AuSABLE FORKS — Repair of the heat trace and sewer-pipe insulation along the side of the Jersey Bridge here has been completed.

The bridge had been closed for the work and reopened Thursday evening for both vehicles and pedestrians.

The work was performed by Mountain Lake Electrical Inc.

Saranac School Board to hear reports

SARANAC — The Saranac Central School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the District Office in Dannemora. The board contemplates convening an executive session for the purpose of discussing the employment history of particular person(s). 

The regular meeting will reconvene at approximately 6:50 p.m. Some agenda items include a monthly budget status report, extracurricular quarterly report and internal-claims-auditor quarterly report. 

The board will also consider the employment of particular persons. A complete agenda is available at the District Office and at www.saranac.org. 

The public is encouraged to attend.
