Tickets available for Kiwanis raffle

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh Noon Kiwanis Club is selling tickets for its annual K-Melt raffle.

Each person who buys a ticket will have a shot at guessing what date the 350-pound “K” now sitting on the pond at CVPH Medical Center will fall through the ice.

One winner, after the “K” drops into the water, will be randomly chosen from among those who correctly guessed the date and receive $1,000, as will the Foundation at CVPH.

The remaining proceeds will benefit local charities and organizations supported by the Plattsburgh Noon Kiwanis.

Tickets, priced at $5 each or five for $10, are available through March 20 from any Kiwanian or at the following locations: Shumway Insurance, Dannemora Federal Credit Union, the Clinton County Treasurer’s Office and Nelson’s Flower Shop.

For more information, call President Kimberly Davis at 536-0934.
