Essex Board of Supervisors sets special session

ELIZABETHTOWN — The Essex County Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 15, in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, Essex County Government Center, 7551 Court Street, Elizabethtown.

On the agenda will be the collective bargaining agreement between the county and the Essex County Chapter of the Civil Service Employees Association Inc. for the years 2013 through 2015; a proposal by Federal Engineering Inc. for construction management services for the county’s public radio system for the 2013 construction season; and county hiring of an independent environmental specialist to provide a written report showing whether construction activities on Gore Mountain, Blue Mountain, Little Whiteface and Mount Morris relative to the county’s radio project will impact on the Bicknell’s thrush’s breeding or nesting season.

The meeting is open to the public.



Village of Champlain to flush hydrants

CHAMPLAIN — The Village of Champlain flush hydrants Monday, April 15, through Friday, April 19, between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

This includes the Landfill Water District and the Ridge Road Water District in the Town of Champlain. Some discoloration of water can be expected.



NACS Board meeting canceled

ELLENBURG — The Northern Adirondack Central School Board meeting scheduled for Monday, April 15, has been canceled.

The board will meet next at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 25.



NCCC Board of Trustees to meet Tuesday

SARANAC LAKE — The North Country Community College Board of Trustees will meet at noon Tuesday, April 16, in room 219, on the Ticonderoga campus, 11 Hawkeye Trail.

Agenda items are expected to include administrative reports, personnel and a financial update.

An executive session will be called at the beginning of the meeting, which is otherwise open to the public.


Saranac Lake School Board to pass budget

SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Central School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at Petrova Library.

Agenda items include approval of the 2013-14 budget, appointment of election workers and the Board of Cooperative Educational Services budget and board vote.

The meeting is open to all.
