Meet the Candidates forum to be heldin Ticonderoga

TICONDEROGA — A “Meet the Candidates Night” is planned for September 4  at 7 p.m. at the Chilson Hill Community Center.

The Chilson District contains the highest number of registered voters. The candidates will address some of the most important issues of current concern to Ticonderoga citizens and landowners. Each candidate will have the opportunity to answer questions on topics selected by The Concerned Citizens of Ticonderoga for better town government. A public question/answer session will follow.

This meeting will be moderated by Lesli Chandler and Margaret Lauman. The media will be invited for appropriate subsequent reporting and the session will be video recorded.

It is hoped that all concerned voters will attend this meeting. Now is an opportunity to evaluate the next Town Board supervisor and Town Board member candidates to determine the best qualified to represent local issues of concern in Ticonderoga today as well as candidates willing to stand united with the voice, vote and concerns of the people in Ticonderoga to determine the future of Ticonderoga on all levels.

The topics of debate will be given to all candidates prior to this meeting so they might become adequately informed to sufficiently respond to the questions they will be asked and will cover the issues that most concern the citizens of Ticonderoga today.
