New Health Center accepting patients

SARANAC LAKE — A new Saranac Lake Health Center operated by Adirondack Health opened Monday and is now accepting patients.

The Health Center is located on the second floor of the Medical Office Building on Old Lake Colby Road above the Wound Care Center. A team of three skilled and caring physicians will be providing patient care: Dr. Beth Bartos, Dr. Darci Beiras and Dr. Kenneth Ged. Bartos will continue to practice family medicine at the Lake Placid Health Center, and Beiras will still provide pediatric care at the Tupper Lake Health Center. Ged will be seeing patients in Tupper Lake as well.

Patient records are computerized at Adirondack Health, so current Health Center patients wishing to be seen in Saranac Lake do not have to transfer their medical records from Keene, Lake Placid or Tupper Lake.

To make an appointment, call 897-APPT. Wound care, rheumatology and ostomy care may require a physician referral prior to making an appointment. Most insurances are accepted, including Medicaid and Fidelis. Information and resources are available for those who are uninsured or underinsured; ask when calling for an appointment.
