Dinner-theater event benefits youth group

PLATTSBURGH — North Country Alliance Church’s Drama for the King invites the public to a dinner theater presentation called “Cindy and the Godfather” at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the City Recreation Center Community Room, 52 U.S. Oval.

Attendees will be served a pork loin dinner with all the fixings while they watch (and interact with) the play. The dinner is catered by The Great Adirondack Soup Company.

Christian School hosting open house

PLATTSBURGH — Lakeshore Christian School, 4635 Route 9, is hosting an open house from 10 a.m. until noon Friday, May 10.

The public is invited to see the facilities, meet the teachers and view a video presentation describing the unique individualized curriculum offered at Lakeshore. Children age 4 to 6 are invited to attend with their parents. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call the school office at 563-4098.

Worship time change announced

CROWN POINT — The Crown Point United Methodist Church will change its morning worship hour to 9:30 a.m. starting Sunday, May 5.

Worship will be at that new time until Dec. 29. The church is at 352 S. Main St.

Community Fellowship Dinner planned

TICONDEROGA — All are welcome to the next Free Community Fellowship Dinner at the First United Methodist Church here. The dinner is from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 5.

The theme is “Chili Cook-Off.” Several varieties of chili will be available, from mild to “two-alarm,” and meat and vegetarian varieties. Homemade corn bread, biscuits, salad, desserts and beverages will also be available. High chairs, booster seats and a child-friendly menu will also be available, as will take-outs.

While there is no charge, a free-will donation can be made.
