Altona Town Council meeting changed

ALTONA — The Altona Town Council meeting originally scheduled for Monday, Sept. 9, has been moved at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Town Council meetings are open to the public.

Lake Placid School Board meeting coming up

LAKE PLACID — Lake Placid Central School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, in the Board of Education Conference Room at the Administrative Services Center, 50 Cummings Road.

Agenda items include discussions of STAR, safety plan, student plans and comprehensive plans.

The meeting is open to all.

City alters trash pickup for holiday week

PLATTSBURGH — The City of Plattsburgh Department of Public Works won’t be picking up garbage on Monday due to the Labor Day holiday.

Monday’s collections will be done on Tuesday. Sept. 3.

Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s collections will all be done on their regular days.

Saranac Central School Board to meet

SARANAC — Saranac Central School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the District Office in Dannemora.

The agenda includes the employment of particular persons. A complete agenda is available at the District Office and on the website www.saranac.org.

MorrisonvilleFire District sets budget meeting

MORRISONVILLE — Morrisonville Fire District will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the Schuyler Falls Town Hall to discuss the district budget.

The meeting is open to the public.

A public hearing on the budget will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15.

Town of Dannemora working on budget

DANNEMORA — The Dannemora Town Council has scheduled meetings to work on its 2014 budget.

The council will meet at 4 p.m. in the Town Hall on Sept. 4, 11 and 18.

Meetings are open to the public.
