Saranac Lake Health Center to celebrate opening

SARANAC LAKE — The public is invited to attend a Community Health Fair and ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new Saranac Lake Health Center, a member of Adirondack Health from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The Health Center is located in Adirondack Health’s Medical Office Building on the second floor of the medical office that houses the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Treatment Center at  285 Old Lake Colby Road.

There will be a Teddy Bear Clinic for children who would like their favorite stuffed animal to receive a check-up from pediatrician Dr. Darci Beiras. The Adirondack Health Mobile Dental Clinic will be on site, along with local ambulance and EMS crews to provide demonstrations. Information sessions will include blood pressure screening, diabetic and dietary education, pain management, physical rehabilitation, lactation education, electronic health information, wound care and much more.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 5:30 p.m.
