Children’s clothing retailer opens today in Plattsburgh mall

PLATTSBURGH — The Children’s Place, a new retailer at Champlain Centre mall, opens today.

The largest apparel retailer in North America, the company has more than 1,100 stores. It sells clothes and accessories in sizes from newborn to 14, according to a press release from the mall, “at value prices which reflect the Company’s motto “Big Fashion, Little Prices.”

“The addition of The Children’s Place, along with our recent opening of Crazy 8, gives our customers greater options for children’s clothing,” Champlain Centre General Manager David Napolitan said.

The store is located next to Foot Locker and in front of JCPenney.

A grand opening celebration will be scheduled sometime in early May.

NAC School Boardto meet April 25

ELLENBURG — The Northern Adirondack School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 25, the District Office Conference Room.  

An executive session associated with the performance history of particular employees and collective negotiations will take place at approximately 6 p.m. The board will reconvene for public session business at about 7 p.m. 

Some agenda items include the adoption of the 2013-2014 school budget, approval of the administrative budget of Champlain Valley Education Services for the 2013-2014 school year and election of the CVES Board members.
