Beekmantown School Board to review audit

BEEKMANTOWN — The Beekmantown Central School Board will meet at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday in the Middle School/High School library. 

Agenda items include: Spotlight on Education on Innovative Manufacturing Partnerships; the 2011-2012 audit report; and the Board and District Goals and Public Use of School Facilities Policy. 

A complete agenda is available on the district website at www.bcsdk12.org. The public is encouraged to attend.

Candidates sought for AuSable Forks Fire Commission

AuSABLE FORKS — The annual AuSable Forks Fire District election is set for 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the AuSable Forks Fire Station, 29 School Lane.

Up for vote is one five-year term for a fire commissioner that will run from Jan. 1, 2013, through Dec. 31, 2017.

Those interested in running for the post must submit their name and the intended office to Fire District Secretary Charlene Garso, P.O. Box 659, Au Sable Forks, NY, 12912 no later than Nov. 21. 

All residents of the Fire District registered with the Clinton or Essex County boards of election as of Nov. 22 will be eligible to vote.

Saranac Lake School Board to hold special session

SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Central School Board will hold a special meeting at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the High School board room.

On the agenda is appointment of a clerk pro-tem and an executive session to discuss collective negotiations and a public session.

No other business will be addressed.

The public is welcome.

Peru School Board to discuss personnel matters

PERU — Peru Central School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the community room near the main entrance to the High School.

An executive session associated with particular personnel matters will take place immediately, with a return to public meeting at about 7 p.m.

Agenda items include review of the proposed update to the district safety plan, recognition of board members and approval of a resolution asking that the governor and State Legislature give special consideration to financial aid for schools and municipalities in the Adirondack Park.
