---- — Clinton County Legislature to meet
PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Legislature will meet today at 7 p.m. in the Legislative Chambers on the second floor of the Government Center.
Among the resolutions to be accepted are authorizing the Hazard Mitigation Grant program; Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program grant; engineering services agreement for Saranac Central School; and Multi-use Bicycle and Pedestrian Pathway Project.
The meeting is open to the public.
City fire hydrantsto be flushed
PLATTSBURGH — The City of Plattsburgh Fire Department will be flushing hydrants today.
The streets affected, sometime between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., will be Lafayette, Champlain, Montcalm, Cornelia, Palmer, North Catherine, Oliver, Elm, Lynde, Riley, Bailey and St. Charles.
Water in the system will be stirred up and may be cloudy or rust colored coming out of the faucet during the flushing. Residents are urged to avoid washing clothes or bathing during that time.
Town of Plattsburgh Boil Water Order lifted
The Boil Water Order that was issued on July 4 in the Town of Plattsburgh has now been lifted. The affected roads were: Can Am Drive, Bell Road, Jubert Lane, Rascoe Road, Vintage Estates, White Pine Commons and Nightengale Drive, 323-656 Tom Miller Road, 422-696 Wallace Hill Road, 1785-1942 Military Turnpike and Banker Road from Tom Miller Road to Rt. 374. Two check samples taken from the distribution system on Sunday and Monday were absent of bacteria.
Mayor’s Cup race entries sought
PLATTSBURGH — Sunrise Rotary of Plattsburgh is seeking final entries from sailors throughout the Lake Champlain region and southern Quebec for the Mayor’s Cup Regatta to be held Saturday, July 13.
The events for cruising, racing and multi-hull classes are open to anyone with an interest in having fun.
Mayor Donald Kasprzak and Sunrise Rotary will present the coveted Mayor’s Cup trophy and other awards at a barbecue following the races.
